To be honest, I haven't lived there in years. Maybe someone who currently lives there can weigh in. I don't remember ever having to wait at the gate nor do I remember there being traffic.

In 2008 it was not more than 15 minutes. I don't remember the commute ever being something I fretted over.

Same. The house is on the island and it's an easy drive on SPID over the bridge. Base is one of the first exits once you get to the "mainland."
