I talked to my recruiter today, and he mentions that the ASTB has the math and verbal as two separate sections. I studied the ARCO and it has the math and verbal together as one section (37 questions, 35 minutes). What's going on here? help please. help please. help please. I take the ASTB in 1.5 weeks.

It's got the breakdown. And yes, the ASTB has separate verbal and math sections, there are 6 in total. The sixth section is a hodgepodge of questions from all the sections.

I took the ASTB paper version 4 about a week ago. I got 7,7,6,63. If anyone is taking the paper version soon and have questions, just gimme me a holler. I'll try to answer the best I can.
There are few weird questions from the math and mechanical comp sections that I didn't get but everything is doable. Oh yeah, the spatial apperception is somewhat different from the Arco's.

It's just more detailed. They give you various bank and yaw angles.
I found it more difficult, like Mongol said there were variuous bank and yaw angles, and the pictures were a bit more blurry.
