More than 60 years after Naval Air Station Tillamook decommissioned the wreckage is found not far from the base. I wonder how far not far is? I hope they can figure out who the crew members are.

May these 2 Air Warriors rest in peace.

Out of curiosity, who in the Navy goes to investigate these old crashes? Safety Center, NavAir?
Are the folks from the museum in P'cola that go out to ID wreckage of retired aircraft???

Seems like it would be a pretty cool job when I retire being the Navy rep to go investigate all old warbirds discovered!!

The original article I posted said it was a team from Hawaii, I don't recall what they were called and the article has since changed by yahoo.
