damn left eye

My left eye seems to be getting worse than 20/20 but my right eye is just fine. The left eyes is probably around 20/25. I'm getting ready here for TBS and i'm worried about what will happen when I have to take the flight physical. If I am worse than 20/20 in one eye, will they take away my flight contract or are TBS grads given some options? Should I be looking into getting PRK now?

Just when you think everything is going great, this has to happen!
Seriously, are you even aware of the current limitations? How about doing some simple research before asking ridiculous questions.

I haven't been back here for a while now but I did some research and I think I have my answer. I understand the SCL deal but should I look into it right now so that I can meet the 6 month requirement? I read something about being able to fly with glasses but does that also apply to SNA's?

Sorry about any redundant questions. I'm just trying to get **** right the first time around.

It does... I have a couple buddies who are SNA's, and found out they needed glasses when they did NAMI down here in P-cola.

As far as your eyesight, don't worry about it. You are well within standards.

My advice: leave well enough alone. Don't do anything to your eyes. I got PRK'ed a year and a half before comissioning.. but I was 20/400 both eyes. Doc at Bethesda told us that most docs won't give PRK if you're better than 20/40 during the brief.

EDIT: One of my SNA buddies that needs glasses had PRK.
