Deployments

Hey guys I just have a question regarding how deployments work for Marine Aviators. Mostly jet guys like Hornets, Harriers, and Prowlers. I was just kinda wondering how do they usually go? How long are you gone for, what are the rotations like, how hard are they on families just the usuall questions that I am sure everyone has answered before. Any info would be appreciated!

I was a helo guy but we had 6 harriers with our squadren on our 6 month med cruises. The med cruises also had about 5 weeks of total deployed time for "workups" in the months prior to leaving for 6 months. That was during peace time though. They also usually went out to Califronia with us for cax every 3 years. that lasted about 2 months
