Difference between personal statement and motivational statement

What is the difference between them on the OCS application? My recruiter told me that the personal statement is about you, and the motivational statement is about why you would be good for the navy. This doesn't help me that much because on my motivational statement I wanted to include my past jobs, interests, and things which are about me. For instance I said that being a personal trainer has helped me to become a better leader. Include this in both?

Also is the personal statement just as important? I've heard that the motivational statement is very important but haven't heard if the personal statement is equal.

I also can't find any examples of personal statements. links please?

If your referring to Block 15, my understanding is that space was made available to explain any answers marked "yes" in block 9 or any other area of your app you feel needs a narrative.

If you're referring to the APSR form, there is no "personal statement", only a motivational one. Like BleedGreen mentioned, block 15 is for any misc. remarks you have (explanations for drug use, volunteer experience, other extracurricular activities, etc...) Kind of a place to jot down any stuff you would like the board to know.
