Whats the difference between pro rec and fin rec. I know the prt is taken on the back half after pro rec but what else? any thoughts?

Im not the expert here but my take on it is that the final select is a review and approval of all aspects of your application. Meaning, they review medical, fitness, board recommendation, any special circumstances involved. While it seems like the Professional Recommendations are really what counts and the final select is all but "automatic" as long as everything else is clean, you could technically be refused and not receive a final select based on... pretty much whatever reason they come up with...

Can anyone clarify what exactly the final select process reviews in determining which applicants get selected and which don't? would be interesting to get some input on that.

Pro-rec = Applicant is selected
Final select = Is completely qualified (MEPS, EPSQ)

Pro-rec is the hard part where you compete with everyone else. Final select is just some paperwork.

Not exactly true, they submitted all that work with my application (MEPS, ESPQ, and the PRT). Still had to wait a month and a half in between.

Old system has changed a bit. Instead of ADDOCS and FINDOCS, it's now PRODOCS (basic application stuff + EPSQ) and MEDOCS (bunch of paperwork + physical + PFA scores)
