Does prior status carry over into BDCP?

I know that you never lose PEBD, but does current rank carry over into BDCP? I did a search and found some info but it was conflicting. Any priors recently selected have an experience with this?

When you are in OCS your rank and rate are OC/E-5. If you were a OS3 or BMC you are now E-5.

If you were BDCP in your situation, does that mean you were already released from active duty and now swearing back in?

What was the gouge you heard from your recruiters?

AFAIK for BDCP, you must get a conditional release if still under contract. Not an extremely hard thing to do if you're qualified from what I heard from someone who did it.

I'm an E-4 in the Guard (drilling status) and just heard today about final select for BDCP. I asked the recruiter and he wasn't one hundred percent certain.

My contract for BDCP (signed over two years ago) stated that I would be an E-3 in the Reserves. There was no stipulation.

I was prior enlisted in the Air Force then switched to the Air National Guard. That is where I got a conditional release to start BDCP. I was an E-6 and got the bump down to E-3. Then got E-5 upon college graduation. I tried to keep my rank but I couldn't. Things always change but in 2006 thats how it was.

In BDCP the highest you can get is E-5 from a referral and a GPA raise.

How would it work for a AD frocked E-6 (non BDCP) that goes to OCS?

Inferring from above, I'd say you keep your current paygrade if you are going from the fleet to OCS. If you're broken service or reserve and going straight OCS without BDCP, then I have no clue. New contract probably = E-5 once you get to OCS.
