Does taking college courses on your preferred designator help while in training?

Good afternoon (Morning for Yokosuka people),

I am currently enrolling in more monotonous higher education classes, and was wondering if I should pick classes that would help me do better in any school house setting for my desired designator. Im currently an electronics engineering major, but there is courses that go deeper into Aeronautics and Drone Engineering. Im trying to apply for the AVO program so my initial thought would be to take the drone path, but I was also confused on if this was even going to help me.

Can I get any insight into if my courses will help me in a training pipeline?
