Program Authorizations

Eligibility for specific designators, such as Surface Warfare Officer (SWO), Information Professional (IP), and Medical, is often questioned. The Program Authorizations page on My Navy HR is an excellent resource for determining whether you meet the necessary qualifications, including your degree, GPA, Officer Aptitude Rating (OAR), and other program requirements.

*Keep in mind that exceptions and waivers may be available. For guidance, it’s best to consult an officer recruiter.

What waivers are approved for SWO and IP ?
