Executive Order: Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq

Has anyone seen this?

I haven't decided what I personally think yet. It definitely seems to weave a fine line around the 4th and 5th amendments.

Curious what others think.

Gotta love lawyers, yes??? It means .. follow the money. It's always about power and money.

The only question in my mind is ... what are we gonna "do" to our Arab/Muslim "friends" ... i.e., the Saudis, the Paks, and most of the Gulf Sultanates who constantly provide $$$$ and comfort to those who are killing our guys.

If we "do" something about that ... then, perhaps, I will become a believer.

It will be a great day when we can deal with our " friends " without having oil in the equation. The Saudi's are sitting on top of a powder keg themselves now, the help that they have accepted from the West does not sit well with the Whabbist faithfull.

It's a shame that we've gone through so much for a bunch of folks not willing to put in their share of the work.

But the law only applies to:

"all property and interests in property of the following persons, that are in the United States, that hereafter come within the United States, or that are or hereafter come within the possession or control of United States persons, are blocked and may not be transferred, paid, exported, withdrawn, or otherwise dealt in..."

So the executive order doesn't even apply to the foreign nations/people who are providing money to the bad guys.

Never heard of multinational corporations ... ??? Globalization??? Globally Integrated Enterprises??? MNC's ??? They have more power than the Knights Templar ....

Airbus?? Shell/Royal Dutch?? Boeing??? Jardine Matheson?? Matsushita?? Toshiba?? .... *gasp* ... *gasp* ... the list is endless ....
