Eye ointment in the General packet. What is it?

It's possible to get splinters, shards of glass, or dirt embedded in your eyes during crash/ejection. Supposedly the ointment will ease the discomfort and protect your eye from infection...but some are skeptical.

Don't know, but if I had to guess it's probably really close to Neosporin with some sort of steroid thrown in to minimize swelling.

Didn't have that, back in the day.

Never tried it but I'll bet the morphine we carried would "ease the discomfort" somewhat.
