F-14 Tomcat Commemorative bricks

The construction of a monument to the Tomcat Community is well underway under the nose of the F-14 Tomcat at the front gate of NAS Oceana. A tax deductible donation of $100 will gain the donor a commemorative brick etched with wings and two lines of text (up to 18 spaces). Proceeds will be applied to a scholarship fund and the costs of the Tomcat Sunset/monument. A formal dedication will be held during the Tomcat Sunset events 20-23 Sept and all donations received by 1 Aug will have bricks emplaced at the base of the monument/Tomcat static display by 20 Sept.

The dedication of the Tomcat Memorial will be held on Thursday, 21 Sept at 1600. Although the Tomcat memorial is dedicated to the legacy of the Tomcat and those who flew and maintained it, a special section of the memorial bricks will be dedicated to Tomcat aircrews who lost their lives in the line of duty. The ceremony will include the reading of their names and will be officiated by the last Tomcat Commodore and feature the sounding of taps by bugler.
