Fat Albert Loadmaster Question

For the Blue Angle's Fat Albert I was wondering how selection is for loadmasters and what they do and if they ride on the aircraft during performances. I was on the site and it looks like there is a lot of loadmasters. Any reason for this? Thanks for any info.

Thanks
Kyle

I know that a lot of loadies are crewchiefs as well.
Being 'on the road' for long such a long season it's not uncommon to have a big maintenance crew available.
It also depends of what's your definition of 'a lot'...
Just look at the maintenance crew of the Blues in total for 6 aircraft.
Normally 5-6 maint crew per aircraft.

One of my friends and about 2 others are or were loadies on Fat Albert. They have the standard amount of loadies. A lot of the times not all the crew will go, but they like cross train so that they don't have to go on every show. So not every show will have a nav, or mech, or loadie. Plus you pretty much have the same load every time you go on a trip so the Form Fs are pretty much canned.

The selection is (like seen on t.v.) kind of submit an application and the crew votes on you. It seems pretty political.
