Final Select and Swearing In

Is there a set time frame between receiving your Final Select letter and swearing in?
And can any US Military officer do the swearing in? Does it matter if they're retired, or do the have to be active?

I ask because, assuming I get my letter, I would like my uncle to swear me in. He is retired Air Force, but still flies commercially so it might take a couple weeks to work around his schedule.

Thanks :)

FYI, I for one, among other regulars on this AW site, am reluctant to answer questions/offer advice to 'wannabees' who prevent us from access to your AW profile. We like to have some idea of who you are... lack of trust issues?

I was actually just messing with my account settings this morning. I've changed it back.

SH: I would be surprised if the right accommodations couldn't be made to have your aviator Uncle swear you in for the camera...even if an AD officer needs to witness the event and sign the paperwork. Family connections are the best...
