Hey, all,
I'm new to the forum, but have lurked off and on for some time. Just got my recruiter's congratulatory call stating that I've been final recced for BDCP, in Supply. OCS date is 19 August, 2006. Stats are below:
ASVAB: 99
DLAB: Forgot exact score, but I easily qualified for Category IV languages (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
ASTB: 72 (I don't know what the terminology is, but I think that's OAR)
GPA: 3.43
Major: Business Admin, Accounting option
Short history: I originally tried to enlist straight out of high school, at 17 yrs. old, but my dad was a USAF man and wouldn't sign my papers. At 25 yrs., I decided I wanted to try again, and tested well enough on DLAB to go in as a linguist in Crypto, but my ship date was nearly a year out. Got engaged, and my fiance wanted to see me go in as an officer, so we applied for BDCP at the beginning of this semester, and anticipate getting sworn in in January.
Anyway, congratulations to Ducam23, whom I know from school, for his recent swearing-in, and happy holidays to the rest of you.
