Final selection

I had a quick question if someone doesn't mind. I recently got pro rec'd for naval aviator and naval flight officer (about 3 weeks ago) and have found out that other applicants (who have had there application sent to the same board as me) have already been selected to go as early as April 24th (one was going in for nfo). I was wondering if this is a sign that they are not considering me or they are just going over an applicant one at a time? Thank you for any feedback.

You're asking people who literally have no idea. If they did, it means they are on the board and definitely will not hold a public discussion about confidential topics. Talk to your recruiter. The delay could be for numerous issues.

Okay, I just wasn't for sure if the final selections are made all at once (the Navy is actually the first branch I have actually went through the whole application process with). I didn't even know what pro rec'd meant until someone explained it to me on this forum. Just looking forward to going to OCS (if I get selected).

I was pro-rec'd at the end of February and I still haven't gotten my final select. I have been running around trying to fill in some paperwork based about a skin reaction I had on my hands due to working with chemical and concrete at a construction site 3 years ago. So much paperwork, another 4 AM wake up for MEPS, 6 hours later the doctor gives me a 30 second inspect ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Sorry for the derail, just trying to point out that it can take quite a while.

I got pro-rec at the Feb boards, and my OCS date ended up about 3 weeks earlier than my recruiter had thought. So like Tom said, lots of factors weighing in on this, all you can do is wait.

I got pro-rec'd in Feb as well. Got my medical clearance a week after being pro-rec'd but am still waiting for my security clearance since OPM lost my fingerprints... twice.

If theres anything I've learned its to relax and let the process go at its own pace. There isn't much you can do to influence it outside of doing what you're told. Whatever you do, don't lose your cool and go to the Army to see how quick they could set you up with an OCS ship date (4 days). You may get a rude awakening/ass-chewing from your recruiter saying something along the lines of,"I don't want to hear about the F***ing Army..." As it turns out naval aviation isn't quite a buyers market.

I was pro-rec'd with the March 15 boards and went through MEPS two weeks ago. Today was the day MEPS told me I'd hear about final select, looks like that's not happening, so that means a call to the recruiter tomorrow.
