Fuckin aye. Saw an interview with her on the news about it. She was about as humble as anyone could be. "Just doing my job, they would have done the same for me."

Silver Star awarded, second of its kind.

I thought about putting this in the War Zone, and if any mod feels it should be transfered, feel free, but it is news.

Army Pfc Monica Brown earned the Silver Star for her actions last month.

Article below and links at bottom. Not meant as a "should females be allowed to serve in combat" thread, but it'll probably lead to that. Regardless, she is one of the few who can hack it and has proven her worth.
