flat feet

i was recently diagnosed with flat feet. i went to a foot doctor and im now getting prescription orthodontic inserts to correct my flat feet. i was reading up on flat feet in the navy and one person copied and pasted this from the Standards of Medical Fitness:
" Pes Planus (Flat Feet) is only disqualifying if it is symptomatic or involves the use of prescription orthotic devices to deal with it."

^does this mean automatic disqualification? or can it be debated?

2 At MEPS there was a guy who had flat feet who passed. As long as you can perform the super fun exercises they have for you, you will be fine.
