USN Flight Clearance with a Recurring Corneal Erosion for Jets

I'm enlisted in the Marine Corps as a Huey Crew Chief with a Class 3 Flight clearance. I plan on going Navy on a year or two after I get my Engineering Degree; However I just got an eye injury and while I still have 20/20 I got diagnosed with RCE and the Navy Med Manual ARWG states that as long as its caused due to trauma I am eligible for a waiver.
I just wanted to see how easy/Hard it would be or is my whole life about to go down the drain?
