Flight Contract Issues

OCC 193
I will most likely be going to OCC 193 on a flight contract, however, I had a mild incident with my eye almost six years ago, (freshman year in high school) the ER doc called it a floater, so thats what I put on my MEPS form, but I have not had a problem since and my eye doctor says now he can't see any floaters in my eye. My question is how picky are those who evalute flight contracts? Is there any chance I could still fly?

Keep rolling along with OCS and then TBS. Dont lie in your physicals or anything like that, but keep pushing until someone tells you that its a problem. Dont be throwing it around to everyone you see, wait till they ask. If they dont see anything or say anything, just let it stay 8 years back in your record and leave it at that. Good luck

therein lies the difficulty, the board or someone associated with the board put up a stink about it. They already know, I was 14 and some new ER doc. in my tiny home town thought he'd guess on a diagnosis. My eyes are fine, hopefully they will see that.

Thanks for the response though

Why not just tell them what you told us in the above quote, then make sure that your Air Contract is good with written acknowledgement of your problem? That way you would know for sure before you sign several of your prime tail-chasing years away to Uncle Sam.
