Flight Physical - Anthros Question

Hey everyone, I was just wondering how they measure you for those anthros (ie: sitting height, functional reach ect.) I am above the height requirement. BUt depending on how you measure could fall either in or outside of the standard.

Well if you had read the question a little more carefully you would have read that it said HOW THEY measure you. Like what part of your arm, for the functional reach or maybe where exactly your mesured for the different measurements.

there's a computer... or the chair... i got measured in the chair. i remember for BKL (buttock knee length) sitting with your back against the wall they measure from the wall to your knee. functional reach i believe is from the wall to your fingertips. if you are not within standards at NAMI the first time someone else will measure you, most people pass though they might DQ you some certain airframes. i'm DQ'd from E2/C2.

Uhhh...hey, Navyfan06, instead of trying to be a smarta$$ why don't you actually go to the search tool and type in "Anthro". I just did it to make sure it wasn't broken or impossibly confusing to use and guess what popped up?????? Yup, about twenty threads on HOW THEY measure you for anthro. Amazing, huh? You can also search under "NAMI", "Carnies", "Midgets, et al.", and "People with their head up their ass."

Hey Barnard...look into the BDCP...the degree completion program. That's how I got my flight spot. Just be sure to get into shape (run, push-ups, sit-ups), take the ASTB test, and get with a recruiter they can tell you more requirements. Oh...KSU is going to beat KU this Saturday!!!

The ACC...yeah right.....the bastard conference. It's definitely all about the Big Ten. It's nice to be in a conference that actually plays defense, something unheard of in the Big XII. Plus, Purdue is in the Big Ten, we shall vanquish all.

The ACC is solid as well, except for the fact that their basketball teams are the most overrated in the country. Just the perspective of a Jayhawk fan (currently preseason #1, baby).

and what happened to the jayhawks last year? why weren't they in the final four? oh, that's right...an "overrated" Georgia Tech.

The Big X only LOOKS like it plays solid defense because none of its teams have evolved past the "three yards and a cloud of dust" offensive playbook. Oh, and Ohio State's really good- unless they're playing an unranked Northwestern.

If you want solid football, look no further than the Big XII. Oklahoma State, Texas, Nebraska (every year but this year), and what's the other team.... oh yeah, OKLAHOMA. They're the worst NFL team you've ever seen. K-State has its moments too, as much as I hate to admit it (I'm a KU student/fan).

Just look at the Purdue offense, buddy. Orton has put up about 350 yards and 4 tds a game so far (4 in a row). But clearly we have the best offense in the Big Ten, and probably one of the weaker D's.
