I just saw the trailer for a new movie. Doesn't look too bad. I'm definitely going to see it if I can.

Very disappointed,
When I heard they were making a movie "Fly Boys", Thought for sure that it was an adaptation of Bradly's book about Navy and Marine aviators above Chichi Jima. Great Book.
Would make very good movie, however grotesque and depressing (similar to Schindler's List)

I'm wondering how they square the whole token black dude thing with historical accuracy. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I didn't think they had black aviators in WWI, especially mixed in with all the white folk.

assigned to 93 Spad Squadron on 17 August 1917, were he flew some twenty missions and is thought to have shot down two enemy aircraft.
The movie FLYBOYS, set for theatrical release across the nation on September 29, 2006, will debut in unique fashion with a special screening at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, "The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration," on the evening of Wednesday, July 26. The film's producers are calling the event the "aviation-world premiere" of the movie.
If that book isn't on the commadant's must read list, it should be. It's an amazing, fair (American-committed atrocities included) and historically accurate look at the battle for the Pacific.

Here's a concept I never thought about... if the brutal atrocities were the status-quo (especially in the Pacific theatre... good god)... are they still atrocities? Where are the damn Philosophy majors?
James Franco is a fairly decent actor. I enjoyed his performance in The Great Raid. The trailer looks pretty cool. Then again, I'm a sucker for trailers (i.e. The Village, Date Movie, etc).
