Flying for free?

Hello!

I have no flying experience at all. I'm reaching the old age of 26 and am not eligible for most military flight programs, or am I?

I'm not going to be applying to one of the four main branches of the armed forces. My questions is: are other options out there (coast guard, reserves, etc.) that will teach me to fly if I make a time commitment or use my newly learned skills to track hurricanes or something like that? I just want to fly.
