I can't imagine this would be allowed without express permission from medical/etc if there's a legitimate reason. It may be old gouge, but when I went through 10+ years ago, everything that you came in including the clothes on your back went into a DITY bag and was secured until liberty/etc. You couldn't even have your own wristwatch. Everything you'll have will be issued to you including medical devices and meds.
