For those that have been selected for pilot does it say air on your acceptance certificate? Or for those that have been selected for SNFO, does that say air too or NFO? Anyways I will be seeing some of you out there since I am leaving the 26th of this month to kick off PLC Jrs.

your orders say exactly what you have been selected for. Either NA (Naval Aviator) or NFO (Naval Flight Officer).

Not everybody gets acceptance certificates.

never got a certificate. Your contract (you know, those 5,000 pages you signed and wrote shit on) should say it. At least mine did.

For sure slammer..In that 500 page flight contract I remember triple checking that I put an X next to PILOT. The certificate solely says air, so I should be fine. Thanks fellas

yeah the new OSO at my office is handing out these really fancy certificates to all the new Candidates that were selected.

The only thing I got was a generic letter with the Comandant's signature photocopied on saying congratulation, now dont fuck up because your not an Officer yet.

Yup! Thats exactly what it meant. Actually it had more to do with not doing something stupid that could cause you your chance at earning a commission.
