For those who contracted and applied for a USMC OCS board...

For an air contract.. did you have to "enlist" in the marine corps reserve?
I was told that it was a grey area...
The contract did mention that i was going OCC air, and said something about being a O1, but i thought it was kinda weird.

Also is there any obligation if you are not selected?

If you search around on here you'll be able to find way more info on this. Long story short, you don't "enlist" per say but you kind of do b/c you get paid as a Sgt, I believe, at OCS. You have no obligations till you accept your commission. If the contract says OCC Air then that is what it is.

It's understandable that you were confused by this. Read the rest of your contract though, and you'll fully understand the obligation (basically none for OCC) that you incur.
