Getting really frustrated on this whole wait thing...My package had been in since April 15th and still no word...I guess gonna have to wait until June?

When will the next board convene?

Anybody out there in the same boat as I am?

Also anyone going for Supply?

In the same boat...

I have been told this is how it works. I had my entire package complete and submitted toward the end of February and to answer your question, yes, I am also still waiting to hear something.

My understanding is this process takes at least 3 months and as long as 9 months and that is assuming you get selected on your first try.

Which boards have you applied to?

Good luck and remember, the hardest part about this whole thing is the patience needed!

As little as I know about the Navy, I know about the application process and I learned one important thing: Stand by to stand by. It's the government. It is exceedingly slow at times. No news is good new. Good luck!

I can sympathize with the topic creator, because I thought I'd know something this month but instead my application got pushed back to June. I graduate this Saturday, and it would have been nice to finish college knowing something about my future, but whatever. More time to get in shape, and more time to enjoy what may be my last summer vacation ever.

The best thing to do is pretend the application doesn't exist. Anticipation only makes the wait longer.

Very good advice here. I know it's easier said than done, but living your life as if you were not applying for a commission is the smart thing to do. Wait until you've actually been selected before you let the Navy/Marine Corps force you to react to them.

Here is my situation that may make you feel better.
Contacted recruiter FEB 06
Turned EPSQ and application APR 06
First ASTB summer 06 (cant remember the date, PRT also)
Second attempt 30-45 days later
MEPS July 06 (get medical packet put on hold due to ear lavage)
Take forever to get off my butt and return to MEPS DEC-06
Finish packet up and submit late DEC 06
PRES- graduated and sitting on my butt looking for a job and praying to hear a selection notice.
I have obviously taken longer than most, but patience is a virtue.

Thanks guys...

BurtonF22, just went on the Supply boards.
Good Luck to you! If it makes you feel any better, I am currently waiting to find out if I am 1 of only 2 candidates selected by the May Intel board... How would you like to be waiting for that "good" news?

Maybe June will be better huh?!?!

Good luck Burton. Try to relax and act as if your package does not exist, then life will be easier while you wait.
