Full-time Student status?

I have a question about full-time student status and if it was required for OCS guys/gals...haven't really turned up an answer after looking around. Anyways, I recently contracted via the Navy OCS program. (direct accession) Also, I am currently registered as a full-time student for my last semester, however, all of my required electives have been completed and I only need two core classes to graduate this Spring. Would it be possible for me to not be full-time for a semester and save some $/time? Also, doing this would in no way affect the agreed upon dates/timeline between myself and the Navy. I just wanted to be absolutely sure before the drop/add period ends.

Thanks for any advice!

All they want to see is that you are going to have a degree by the time you reach OCS. Just provide a degree completion worksheet that your Academic counselor can make or already should have made for you to show that you are in fact going to graduate on time. That's all they really care about.

Thanks! I'm making a copy of one and getting it signed by an advisor for my OR to have stating that I'll get out on time w/ said degree. Hopefully that'll do it, just trying to make sure I can do this without it messing things up!

I think a "required" one is only if you are BDCP, as it is an assumption for direct assession's that you are going to be degree complete when you get to OCS. BDCP you're trying to get the Navy to pay for the rest of your schooling so they want to know how much left you got and whether you are gonna stay on track. No money is coming out of Navy's pocket prior to OCS when you just do the direct OCS route.

I thought degree completion worksheets were required in the initial application.

Yep, I filled one out back when I first applied. My OR more or less told me that it was considered "tentative" for guys that are direct accession so long as they obtain their degree and graduate on time. However, I just wanted to be thorough and avoid any potential problems considering the crap I've dealt with.
