Hail_HYDRA!
One more question...
Starting a new thread to get this going for FY 19!
found myself a new recruiter and already getting my interviews scheduled.
I decided to find myself a new recruiter i was with this one for almost 3 yearsWow that's fast! Is it possible to get a new OR when you already have one? I don't know if she's extremely busy or what, but things are moving at a very slow pace with my OR and everything's due by mid May for the EDO board. I still need access to the SF86, format/details for letters of recommendation, and interviews scheduled.
And how is a new recruiter going to help your application?I decided to find myself a new recruiter i was with this one for almost 3 years
I've already explained that my recruiter was below average. This new recruiter has a relationship with the OIC I interviewed with before. So I would say it's helping tremendously and I'm off to a fresh startAnd how is a new recruiter going to help your application?
Good luck with that. The OIC's rating of you is not going to change unless your package changes.I've already explained that my recruiter was below average. My package has changed, new reference, new job duties, new cert, and I will complete my masters this summerGood luck with that. The OIC's rating of you is not going to change unless your package changes.

It depends. The boards have gotten smart on the cases where people submit the token recommendation from the "CEO" or "Senator" with whom they have never worked directly. How important are references/LORs considered for DCO boards? I've heard everything from "It's to prove you work where you say you work" to it being the make-or-break for an application, and I have no idea what's accurate.

IMHO, the letters that carry weight are the ones from people who directly observed your performance.
Welcome aboard. Tell us a bit about yourself.Hey all, been lurking for a while, and wanted to say thanks for all of the good scoop that's been posted. Started to put together a package for 1835 for the FY18 board, but had an issue that delayed completion of my submittal. That's since been cleared, but that board has come and gone. I'm very glad they've decided to convene a board in September, so that I won't need to wait all the way to January to get another crack at this. Looking forward to applying, and wish everyone good luck.
