FYI re: BAH at API (at least for those with follow on orders)

For anyone who is interested:
I spoke with PSD PCola today re: BAH while assigned to NASC during API. I was told that while in API I was entitled to Annapolis BAH until I finished and checked into TW-5 for Primary. I am getting a correction to my pay since I have been getting Pensacola BAH since arriving here. This is counter to what we were told when we checked in over the summer.

When I was there, we received full Pensacola BAH from check in to check out. Since I had received the full Annapolis BAH for June (checked in June 8), I had that nice little advanced debt line for two months to correct for the overpay. Long story short, you get Pensacola BAH the whole time.

Not everyone has the same situation. It will be different if you report to API with initial duty or change duty (usually the follow-ons) orders. I'm in API on change duty orders w/ follow-on to Whiting, so API is TDY for me. I also talked to PSD today because they switched my BAH from Boston (which is sweet BAH) to Pensacola (less sweet). They weren't supposed to do that and they're making the correction.

Those of you on your initial assignments from OCS, USNA, ROTCs... not sure what your deal is, but I bet there are variations in that group as well. This is one of the cases where I feel an Airwarriors wiki would be helpful...
