General OCS info

I was wondering what Navy OCS consists of. Also how different is it from say Marine Corps OCS. I understand the instructors at Navy OCS are Marine Corps, but I am just looking for some general gouge. I have been to Marine OCS PLC Juniors.

When searching for info, look for info no more than a year old. OCS has changed a lot in the last year. I wish I could be more of a help, but a lot of the changes happened after I left.

Really? Most of that is pretty old, and NONE of it is as detailed as the "survival" guides the Marines are posting for theirs.

I think it would be useful to get an update (that doesnt include an argument about ROTC or the service academies, because that is usually where Navy OCS comes up...).

I gather that the primary purpose of USMC OCS/PLC is to weed out non-hackers. The Navy takes a much different approach. They have a large amount of screening prior to attending and use OCS as training. Not many people get kicked out of Navy OCS, although it does happen.
