Getting Whiting for Primary

Hey all,

I'm a SNA in A-pool and recently found out I'm anthro'd out of jets and multiengine. Thus, by both default and desire, my intended community is helos. Since I'd be doing advanced out of Whiting, I'd really prefer to go there for primary as well. I was just wondering if this is taken into consideration when they assign primary training wings. Also, would it be prudent to talk to LT D about this or would peg me as a whiner to be put on the short list for Vance? Anybody have any experience with a similar situation? Thanks.

I think it would be practical to say hey, I wanna save the Navy some time and money, is their a chance I can do primary here since I have to stay here anyways?

The A-pool people wont be checking everyone anthros, so, it seems like a prudent thing to bring up.

I concur with NavyVance, bring it up to the StuCon officer sooner rather than later. Not sure about the Navy side but the Marines take that into account, or at least they did when I went through. If there were issues or special circumstances they did everything they could to accommodate, when they could. Besides their are plenty of studs around the pool so its just a matter of switching bodies I would think...

is their a chance

Is there? Just thought I'd join the AW english grammer nazi club. :D

To get back to the ? at hand: I'm a LT D...and you can ask me anything. So many people whine about their (note proper use) high school girlfriend in ________ that this sounds like a GREAT thing to whine about...$hit...if there's one thing that I know...it's better to ask and be told no than to not ask.

On the bright side, with a few partial DITY moves...you could make out on the deal if you go Corpus. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HOWEVER DON'T GO VANCE. Nothing against the AF, but they can't train helo bubbas worth a DAMN.

See you at South Park my friend.

Someone actually jumped on my use of their/there, and then created this GEM of a sentence in the same post.

Nice.

One of the Ensigns classing up on friday was going to whiting at first but they wanted corpus. That person went and talked to the LT and was pushed back a week and is now going to corpus. So it can be done.

Sweet, thanks for the replies guys. Looks like I'm all sorted out.

As for why I was npq...absolutely no idea why, just what I was told.

Roger that. I just seem to be an anthro freak of some sorts. Millington told me I was NPQ for all platforms at one time while I had my kit turned in, and I am 6'2" and way under all the reg's. Took almost 6 months for them to figure out I was within all the limits. Don't know your stats but perhaps no one is safe from the yey or ney of the anthro gods.

I am 6'3" and have a LONG hip-knee measurement.

I can fly all but EA-6Bs. I can see being anthrod out of Jets (I am CLOSE for all other jets) but Props?

BTW, they do not care about Anthros for Helos. I am out of Anthros in the SH60, (I fit in 53 and 3) but I fly them anyway.

You COULD take all the great advice given here... or you could just find some P-Cola SNAG (Student Naval Aviator Groupie) to marry... everyone knows the married guys go to Whiting...:icon_nav_

Not true at the moment. They're very picky about the codes and have been enforcing them in the recent past. It may swing the other way again soon, as always.

I pretty much have to accept that any crash the strokes the seat, will break both my legs.

Not saying it is right, but we have gotten 2 out of the RAG recently, one is my size, and the other cannot fully deflect the pedals, if he is high enough to see over the dash.

I understand, but those guys are 3 years old by now. All I'm saying is at the moment, they're being pretty anal and it can be hard to get a remeasure.
