I set up my Glock 34 with some Dawson Precision Sights. I used a .100 front sight with a fiber insert and a serrated rear DP adjustable sight.

Changing them out on the Glock was very easy. Shot just a tad left of center (1.5") at 10 yards range...easily adjusted.

This is my IDPA handgun. Fun to shoot. Just wish it was a bit heavier.

For open sights, what sight picture do you prefer?

I've never heard of Dawson. Without looking them up, do they have pistol sights with tritium inserts???

I prefer "B" for bullseye shooting .... and in reality, usually for everything else. I'm really starting to like "ghost rings" ... i.e., "H" style for concealable personal defense pistols and, of course, always for a tactical shotgun application.

In a fight .... front sight.:)

A4s - Dawson Precision are some righteous dudes. Very nice products - for a variety of handguns but their bread and butter fortier is the 1911.

Dawson provided the light rail fixture in all of MEUSOC's 1911 - in fact most the 1911 replacement parts bought by the custom armory in Quantico are from Dawson ...

B...final answer, although I agree with A4's that the front sight is the answer when rushed...Natural point of aim and a nice front sight is a righteous combination.

Being a Glock convert I also love the "Practical Tactical" 34/35 series. Nice pistol.

...Being a Glock convert ...
I've "converted" so many times over the years that I don't know whether or not I'm Jewish or Catholic. Or Episcopalian .... which is ostensibly what I am .... or am I .... ??? :icon_lol:

BUT: again, if I only "had one" .... it would be a 1911 .... NOT the Episcopal Church.
