Going Back to OCS

Well, at least that's what I'm trying to do. After hours of wasted time on the phone, I thought I might be able to get some help from someone on AW.

Does anyone have a phone number for the CO or XO of OCS that actually works? I've got about a million that don't, and rogaine is gonna have a new customer at the rate I'm losing hair over this deal.

Also, is CDR Everett still the CO of OCS? CDR Ulrich still XO?

Thanks,

Evan

Long story short, I was in class 02-07. In the period of time around when I started OCS, a whole lot of chit went down in a very bad way. I won't go into the details here other than to say was serious family trouble times 100.

I spoke with the CO of OCS and he looked kind of shocked that I even showed up and he OK'd my DOR, but not before he and his COC, who were all in the room at the time, agreed that I could come back when I was ready.

CDR Everett put it in writing that I was ok to come back, but I wasn't able to get a copy of the note. Nobody would help me when I tried getting a copy of the note, I assume because I was in S-Pool.

Now, I'm trying to get the ball rolling as far as going back. I've tried a ton of different numbers for OCS to no avail. I've gotten through to API, NETC, and just about every department on NASP except OCS. Half the phone numbers don't work, and the other half are wrong.

I was hoping to make some progress before OCS moved and my file disapeared in the melee-which it will.

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the leadership has moved to Newport.

CDR Everett and LCDR Ulrich are still here. Call up OTCP and get them to transfer you to the appropriate person's office. If it doesn't work on this end, then I'd try calling OTCN Best of luck getting back to OCS. Hope your personal troubles got worked out.

I searched for a phone number for OCS for my security clearance and could not find one at all. I sent a text to a guy currently there, hopefully he can help you out.

I don't know what kind of "deal" you had with the OCS CO, but I'm having a difficult time imagining a scenario where you would just show back up after having DOR'd, whatever the circumstances. If I were you, I would contact the recruiter you were working with initially and go from there before attempting to contact the OCS CO. I would think that you're going to have to go through at least some of the application process over again and that the OCS CO could provide some kind of endorsement to your new package to explain your unique circumstances. Dunno, just a thought.
