We've supported several days down here in Corpus. On one of them, we took a plane to Kingsville and the little guy got to see a T-45 as well.

Make-a-Wish is a great program that really makes a difference. Support them if you have the opportunity.

Heck yeah Doerbirds! I saw him in the lineshack yesterday, he looked like he was on cloud 9. It was pretty awesome, his family was there too and they looked like they were having just as much fun.

In my observation...

All the demo teams, from the pilots to the maintainers to the admin guys I've seen are class acts, whether it's the A-10 or F-15 East Coast guys, the Blues, or the Thuderbirds. Following the termination of the show, all the kids and teens understandably want to get their programs signed by anyone on the Blues wearing a flight suit, which includes the admin staff. Their PAO was off talking to one of the other airshow workers somewhat privately (or so he thought) bitching about getting hounded for all these signings he's going to anticipate before he attempts to sneak through to find a restroom. Of course, before he gets there, a kid about 5 years old sees the guy in the gold flight suit and asks for his autograph, and the guy flat out says "No, I'm not signing right now." Understand he's gotta go, but I'd think a Blues PAO would have handled it better by saying "Hey son, I've got to go to the bathroom first, but I'll sign when I get back" rather than doing it that way and leaving a crushed young kid in his wake.
