There's a P-51 that flies out of the Pungo airfield 10 miles south of NAS Oceana that flies several times a month and comes past my house. You can hear that engine coming miles away. Awesome!

+1 for this...and i love how aviators try to fit in talking about girls along with planes. I think we all should ask these WW2 vets about their experience(s) because they are dieing off at an alarming rate. It's important so these stories don't get lost to history and we can honor them for generations to come.
He seems very sharp still, my grandfather (a ww2 vet) at 86, is starting to lose some of his sharpness.
