What are some of the fields that one can go into if you are ground side in the Marines? If it's true that the PRK study is ending, I need to start looking into other options in the Marines. Also, do they accept PRK correction for ground? If anybody can help me out that would be great. Thanks.

I'm right there with you Wildflyin69. If this is true about PRK not going to be accepted anymore then I need to start re-thinking things. I want to fly, but my thirst to be a Marine Officer is more than that of flying. So just because I may not get an SNA slot doesn't mean I'm going to give up on the Corps. There's still plenty to be done out there. I wonder if ground spots are going to ever open back up? Man, I want an SNA slot so bad! But I'm like you. I need to start looking at some ground MOS's.

About the PRK correction for ground thing... I'm pretty sure (not 100% certain) that the military now accepts LASIK, but ONLY for ground slots. Again, I could be wrong, but I think that's right.

I want to have eye correction either way. Personally because I don't like wearing glasses/contacts. I was going to get PRK so I could be eligible for a SNA slot, but even if I go ground I'll still get LASIK (provided it's acceptable).

BUT HOPEFULLY this rumor about PRK being over with will wither just as fast as it came up. Sure don't seem fair. But hey Life isn't Fair. I'll stop rambling. Good luck to all! God Bless America.

This is an MOS handbook sight. I think that it contains most if not all MOS's available out of TBS. Anyways give it a look see. If the link doens't work let me know.
