Hawaiian is Numero Uno

Hawaiian is one of two US airlines that I've been on in the last few years that didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing the employees by using their services. Glad they're being recognized.

Definitely first rate. Only airlines I have been on that hold a candle to them are Chinese companies, and Continental. Alaskan is good too, but I only had a couple flights and it was long ago.

Chinese? I guess if they don't crash you feel like they are treating you pretty well.

Never heard of them. Have flown Air China, China Southern, China Eastern, and a couple other smaller ones. Little turbulence, smooth landings, and great stewardesses.

We put a lot of emphasis on customer service and carry 2-3 more FAs on the flights than FAA requirements. If we are even a minute late on push back, we have to put the reason why on the Captain's report. The company knows that it's a niche market and customer service along with our on-time performance seems to keep our planes full.

Now if they continue with their present contract negotiations stance, the customer service is not going to help when the pilots strike.....if the government lets us. But the President says he's pro-labor so maybe.

You need to add "lucky to survive" to that last sentence. Those are scary airlines.

Congrats HAL! I've only had the opportunity to fly with you guys once (last summer) and it was head and shoulders above what I'm used to.

Such bullshit ... *sigh* ... and the "noise" of the innocent and unwashed .... :sleep_125

There's always "good days" and "bad days" for any US air carrier. But "Numero Uno" ... ??

I've ridden Hawaiian 9-10 times over the years -- they're a good outfit ... but "Numero Uno" .... ???

I think not ... :)

Sorry A4s, but Braniff went out of business, and SWA still has the girls in Hot Pants.. As in the same ones back from the 70s.

If you had EVER seen the "Braniff girls" in those ultra-fine, super-fine Halston uniforms (you HAD to have a GREAT figure to carry it off) ... oh, God ... the one's that they could rinse out in the sink and hang up in the shower stall overnight ... and be "lookin' good" in the morning .... be still by beating heart ... *gasp*pant* .... you'd be a believer ... :D
