HMLA reserve crew chief

I was wondering if anyone around here may know much about the reserve squadron HMLA-773 in Atlanta. Would they retrain a prior service Marine reservist to become a 6174 Huey crew chief? I didn't know if you may have to take some other job then on down the line they may send you to aircrew candidate,etc. Any insight would be appreciated.
