Hope for a waiver?

Just took the ASTAB (3/3/3 33 will retake and study harder) and met with the recruiter to process my application. Here's the snag. I told him that I had been diagnosed with depression and about six months ago my doctor and I decided that it's time for me to get off the meds. Thankfully I've been doing really well. Now the recruiter doesn't want to try to processes my application unless I can get something from my doctor stating that I stopped about six months ago. My other option, according to him, is to wait until a year has passed and still get the doc to say "it's been a year and she's ok."
I'm a little confused as to what to do. This all took place on Tuesday and I emailed him today to reclarify what I should do but I want to get some info from you folks.

If it makes any difference I've never been suicidal, just weepy and I'm applying for Intel or Surface Warfare.

I got a waiver for depression and antidepressant usage, it's possible.

How did you get a waiver for that. Did you include something from your doc with your package when you applied or what? I applied before and feel that the main reason I was non-select was because of anti-depressants. I felt it was a hush-hush subject. My recruiter kind of freaked when I put it down on my health stuff.

They should tell you when you take that stuff that it could affect your career choices. I know i would have thought twice.

I don't know how the process works for waivers for OCS since I'm in ROTC, but I basically had to include a statement from my psychiatrist saying how long I had been off medication, that I was doing fine without it, I showed no symptoms of any mental illness, and that the mental illness was probably never going to return.
