Greetings,
I have been lurking around the sight for a while, tons of useful info here. Thanks to all.
So here's whats hurting my head...
Have been enlisted now for 3 years, I finally feel like my package would be somewhat strong enough. I am hoping to shoot for SWO or Supply. I am involved in a number of command collateral's, community involvement has not been up to par on account of deployment (but I'm working on that), I have 2 NAM's under my belt and a BS in business. My COC all have given me their word on LOR's.
Issues:
Just turned 30 years of age
Entered the Navy on drug waiver (POM)
Also got into a bit of trouble at 13 (shooting people with BB guns)...expunged.
...All seems like innocent preteen shenanigans but I know in the eyes of a selection board committee they can all be deal breakers.
Note: I have not taken the OAR yet, I know given the aforementioned it is imperative that I score high enough to offset the negatives. Also, the Navy is well aware of my past as it was uncovered when in my DEP days (an investigator came to my house and asked a f*ck ton of questions about the BB gun incident).
I guess I really want to know if I even have a fighting chance. Thanks.
