How much am I receiving?

Hi I have a question with my BDCP pay and just a paygrade question in general.

If I'm being paid as an E-3, do I multiply whatever is on the paygrade for 1 year by 2? I ask this because what I see on the payscale is way less (by a half) than what I receive in a month.

You are also getting a housing and food allowance. For example, in Columbus we get $695 a month for housing plus ~$300 for food. That is why your pay is much greater than what is shown on the chart.

Yeah, in Minneapolis we get $890!! That combined with BAS pretty much doubles my paycheck.

However, if you notice that your check gets bigger once and awhile it is because we get a uniform allowance as well, but you don't actually have to buy a uniform, so it's kind of like a bonus .
