There was a really cool article in Air & Space maybe about 8 years ago that covered the journalist's ride along in the back seat. Pretty impressive description....if I recall correctly, he likened the lightoff of the burner to an explosion. Would have been a pretty cool ride, if you didn't do anything stupid in it.
