If Bachelor's Degree is not complete

I'm 9 classes away from my Bachelor's degree in BSM, can I still apply for OCS or have to wait till I finish my degree first? Also, since I'm a prior, do I need to take any test before submitting my package? Such as OAR/AQT?

Please advice. Thank you!

I started applying with 2 semesters left in college. Most people apply before that. The assumption is that you will graduate, then go on to OCS soon after.

Go ahead and talk to a recruiter.

I don't know about the tests, I'm sure that someone with more recent experience can tell you about that.

Good luck with the application process and enjoy your last few months of college!

Thanks for your reply! I'm in the Navy for almost 7 years now, do I still need to talk to an officer recruiter or someone else?

Start with your current command and your CC. If you're still on active duty, there will probably be some additional hoops for you to jump through for a direct ascession. There is no doubt an instruction or section of the MILPERSMAN which gives guidance. You should look at that with your career counselor.

I agree with Brett and def say go through your chain first (you will have too for CO's endorsement). As far as an Officer Recruiter goes, if you want to ask for help, by all means go to one, but being active duty, your application gets submitted by you and worked through your CCC, not an OR. I know personally the most interaction I had with an OR was him administering the ASTB to me on the comp. With regard to your degree, the 1420.1A CH 4 (pg 4-4) says that to be eligible for the program, member must possess his degree. This is gonna be your primary instruction for applying for OCS as a fleet applicant.

That's what I get for not reading your bio. Sorry about the bad gouge. I'll let the others (that know what they are talking about) fill you in.
