I would recommend watching your speed to the T on Hwy59. I got two speeding tickets within the span of about 6 days in the same spot. I'll say, the first time I was legitimately speeding. The second time I know I just got picked out and pulled over. Due to my previous experience there I made sure to ride the cruise control all the way. I was told I was clocked several miles back and because of traffic it took him that long to catch up to me...at 9 o'clock on a Friday night in Robertsdale, AL...right. My father has been a police officer for as long as I have been alive so I know how it works and how it can work if they want it to.
Out of state tags + military stickers + small crappy town in Alabama = speeding tickets.
Anyway, all of that to say, be careful driving there.
As far as instructors are concerned, you'll learn real quick which ones are a learning experience to fly with and which ones make it a highly stressful experience. Don't be afraid to ask to change instructors if you are generally not getting along with someone or you don't feel safe at any point.
