Thats what I got as part of an enlisted aircrew. I was wondering if it was the same for SNA and SNFO and when in training you would get it.

No Sir, when I got out of the Marines in 1999, flight equipment took all that back. We were not allowed to keep that stuff.

List looks about right, you would get that stuff in week 3 or 4 of API up to that point you wear Charlies.
add in kneeboard, parachute bag, helmet bag, helmet and a few other things I dont remember.

All else remains the same, and they haven't been issuing knee boards lately.

Gear issue is at the end of week 3 of API.

If by aviator sunglasses you mean a cheap, plastic, g@y looking pair that is only good for giving out to the local girls in the bars, then yeah. And as someone said before, they're also good for identifying the tools in your squadron!!

Went through gear issue last week...

2 flight suits <if you were lucky.> Some got 1 tan.
2 pair boots
2 pair gloves

1 leather jacket <if you were lucky. only big and small left>
1 helmet bag
1 parachute bag
1 natops jacket
1 logbook

airforce got some different stuff, and a little knife.

Story has it that the manufacturer of the green flight suits is out of the green material, and supplys are out. They only have green suits in non-popular sizes, I am tall, so I got green ones... people around 42-46 got a single tan one, you gotta have something to train in.

females didn't have that problem because they have their own kind.

They are going to try to get green ones by the time we leave API, but no one knows if they will be able to fill out the initial issue.

And as for leather jackets... again, it pays to be big, or small, but not average. We were told that they are not producing them anymore, manufacturer is out of business. No idea when/if they will ever make them again.
