I would like to know how long you can expect to be at randpolph prior to going to the FRS for P-3/EP-3. Also wanted to know if you go to randolph if you are selected for E6's.

Dont know the timeline but here's 2 pieces of info for ya:

Not all P-3 selectees go to Randolph. Some are going straight to the RAG.

E-6 selectees go straight to Tinker AFB.

Actually, we dont technically go straight to the RAG. We go through UMFO course for 6 wks. Wing. Then the RAG. Sorry Bubba. Not trying to steal your thunder, or hail, or whatever u wanna call it. You can spank me later if u like.

It ranges. I know guys who were at Randolph for 6 months, winged, then waited another 6 months to start the RAG. Others had a shorter wait to start the RAG. So you really wont have a clue until you get there.

E6 guys go straight to Tinker AFB in OK.

AT Randolph, once you class up, you will be in class for 5 months, if you don't roll. E6 guys I believe go to Tinker for class, then wing, then start the FRS class.

As of yesterday, all P-3 guys going to Randolph must now join the Air Force for a period of 4 years.








In all seriousness, it depends. You can usually expect 6 months worth of training with a variable wait time before you start. Everyone is winged there, then go off to their respective RAGs....either Jax or Tinker. I would tell you selection stats, but that changes on a daily basis.

If you go to Randolph, an average of 6-8 months, with exceptions, is what you can safely bet on.
