Interview Appraisal Question

I have browsed through the forums and could not find an answer to this question so I hope it wasn’t already covered somewhere.
Is it a requirement to have all 10’s during your interviews?
I know it would not look good to have six’s. I’m asking because I recently had an interview that I thought went really well but received a nine for appearance and poise. Should I still submit this interview? Everyone in the threads I have read received all 10’s – or so they say – so how badly would this be looked at by the board. The write up is great but I heard from my CCC that the board will not look at the interview without all 10’s, is this true?
Additionally, I served on a submarine with the officer interviewing me so he knows me really well and thinks highly of me. This was the first interview for OCS he had ever conducted and wasn’t completely sure what to do. He said if I needed anything else along the way to OCS to let him know and he would help me out. Should I respectfully ask him if he would interview me again so I can try for all 10’s?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

From what my recruiter said anything below a 9 won't help you. 10 clearly is better and if you feel comfortable asking him let him know that changing it to a 10 will certainly help.

FWIW I got picked up from the April board with a 10 and a 9 for two interviews.

IMHO, asking for a 'mulligan' on an interview grade, could possibly give the appearance of trying to "game the system" to give yourself an advantage (however slight), over your competitors. Any perception of a chink in your armor of personal integrity, could blow up in your face!

As Ben P. stated, he did OK with a 9...I'd run with that ball!;)

Has your CCC ever read board feedback? probably not, I have had reservist picked up for OCS with 8's on the IA.

I have had civilians going for CEC picked up with 8's and 9's

What most people don't notice is that if a person puts all 10's in most cases the IA is submitted incomplete, if you read the IA you will find what I am talking about.

Thanks to all for the great feedback.

NavyOffRec my CCC is pretty much clueless about OCS so I'm going to say he has not. I see what you mean on the IA form.
