Invisible Cloaks?

If it works like they say it does "like water over a rock" wouldn't that just make the cloak or coat invisible and not the person?? :confused:

I could be wrong, but i've heard that this type of technology is supposed to "bend light around the object" or something like that, so anything under the cloak would be hidden too.
 
This was in popular science and popular mechanics magazines at least like 5 years ago. What's new?
 
For anybody not in a science background, the fact that these guys are publishing in Nature and Science means they got some good shit as far as data goes.
